Along with David's steady concert schedule, he also
presents workshops each year. He has created and led
classes for groups as diverse as Texan YMCA professionals
and students from Columbine High School and others
impacted by school violence. His humor, life experience
and knack for storytelling combine with his sincere
interest in others' stories and gifts to make David
an ideal mentor and guide.
Workshops are available at various
lengths and formats. Please get
in touch to discuss any ideas you may have. Though
David has been known to customize workshops for any
number of events, these are some of his most popular.
Some
people are just natural teachers. David LaMotte
is one of them.

World Changing 101
David’s songs are woven in with empowering

as well as founding and leading P.E.G. Partners
Inc., a non-profit organization to aid Guatemalan
schools. [one to two hours, ages twelve and

Practical Dream
Following
As a successful internationally touring
artist, David brings credibility and
authenticity to his presentations on

‘real live artist,’ and
David’s stories and thoughts on
the difference between living in a dream
world and living your dreams are as
engaging and practical as they are encouraging.

| “Two
years after his convocation here, I still hear
students talking about his presentation and
how relevant it was to their lives.”

Poetry and Songwriting
Words can change hearts, and changing hearts
changes the world. In David LaMotte’s
poetry workshop he guides students through
the practical and emotional challenges to
writing well. Along the way, he debunks some
commonly believed myths about writing. Through
guided poetry exercises and instructive examples,
David offers tools to enrich content, invite
inspiration and polish craft. [One to twenty
hours, five to thirty participants, ages fifteen
and up, beginner to advanced]

Write Now
In this songwriting workshop geared for younger
participants, David facilitates the writing
of a song by the group. The workshop illustrates
some writing techniques in a hands-on way,
but concentrates on the joy of creating fun
art together. [one to two hours, five to thirty-five
participants, ages 8 and up, beginner]
