David LaMotte and Chinobay have a new single! The song and video are called “Kirungi” (pronounced chee-LOON-gee) created by the two artists while in Uganda, and both of them are excited about putting it out into the world. They wrote and recorded it in August and September of 2025 in Kampala, with a 7-piece African band, then recorded footage for the music video on the same trip.
The song and video dropped on April 1, 2025. Here is the official video:
There are also alternate versions of the video, including an animated “Lyrics” version that includes translations into English for all of the other four languages in the song and video.
