They’re here! They’re here! They’re here!

November 6, 2013 by David LaMotte

DP-003_CD_Cover_Image_72ppiUPS brought the new ‘Best Of David LaMotte’ CDs to the door last night after dark (it was a long, impatient wait!), and today we will be mailing them out.

We’re really excited about the new record around here.  It contains fourteen songs, including new versions of some older songs with talented guest musicians joining in, and one previously unrecorded track, Travelin’ Shoes (Death Come A-Knockin’), recorded live at the White Horse Black Mountain.

It also comes with a free poster inside, and, excitingly, is printed on 100% recycled paperboard, with the plastic tray that holds the CD made out of 100% recycled soft drink bottles.  It’s more expensive to manufacture a CD that way, but it seems like a good investment in Mason’s future, so I’m happy to absorb that cost and sell them at the same price as the others ($15).

To order one (or lots — they make great stocking stuffers, after all!), click here. We’ll be shipping out the pre-orders this morning. You can also download, if you prefer your music instant.

Here’s what the poster looks like (the cool guitar drawing was done by artist Scott Neely, doodling in his sketchpad at a concert of mine, while I was playing Shadows):

Josh gave me this CD for Christmas and I love it. It is my “happy music” which I play in the car on the way home from a long day at work. Grey Eagle is especially moving, as my own parents sang grandma’s song. We lost my dad in 2005 and I think of him during this song. Thanks, David.

How wonderful, Suzanne. Thanks! So glad you’re enjoying it, and that Grey Eagle connects for you. The grands who inspired it died over twenty years ago, but I still feel it when I sing that song. Peace to you.
