I have been invited by others to lead retreats and conferences in many states and on several continents for many years, but I have never before designed my own event so that I can give people who come for the weekend the richest and most wonderful experience I can come up with. Until now.
This summer I will be hosting twenty-two people in the mountains of Western North Carolina, twenty miles from Asheville, for a weekend retreat. It will be a time to reflect on our lives, on where we’ve come from and where we’re going, and to enjoy the renewal that some time away, good food, music, reflection, warm community, and beautiful mountains can offer.
I want to keep the community intimate so that we can have rich conversations, so I’m limiting the enrollment to 22 people. Everyone is welcome, ages 18 to 100 (and if you’re over 100, you can probably still come).
I’ll be leading some workshops through the weekend, and will invite folks into various exercises and explorations that help us hold up a mirror to our lives and our capacities and see them from another angle. I will also offer an intimate concert on one night, and we will have some down time to just enjoy the mountains and reflect.
There will also be two complete scholarships for young people, ages 18 to 25. Details on that application process coming soon.
Early bird registration closes on June 12, and 12 of the 22 slots are already filled, so you may want to sign up soon if you hope to join us. If you have friends who would like to come along, please feel free to invite them as well.
The pricing includes everything; food and lodging are wrapped in, so there are no other expenses outside of transportation.

Wow, David. Life is so up in the air right now, this would be a very productive thing for me. “Up in the air” is going to make it hard to fit in though too. Thanks so much for doing this though. Rachel and the girls send thier love too.
